Your account

You need an account to use Authora. Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content

You own the books, text, covers and listings you create with Authora. We don't claim any rights to them. We store them so you can open them on any device, and we don't sell them or show them to other users.

AI-generated content

Authora uses AI models to write text and pictures from your instructions. AI output can contain mistakes. Read and edit your book before you publish it. Many stores, including Amazon KDP, ask whether a book contains AI-generated text or images; you're responsible for answering truthfully.

Acceptable use

Don't use Authora to create content that sexualizes minors, harasses or defames real people, infringes someone else's copyright, or breaks the law. The AI providers' usage policies also apply, and the service may refuse some requests.

Plans, words and payments

Paid plans renew each month until you cancel. Each plan includes a monthly word allowance that resets on your renewal date; unused monthly words don't roll over. Word packs don't expire. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Changes and availability

We may change features or prices with notice. We aim to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
